Receiving of Items

When taking delivery of the order, the customer or appointed party shall inspect the item(s) and surroundings (home/delivery venue) before the delivery team leaves the premises. Should there be any defects, please alert the delivery team and note it down on the delivery receipt. Alternatively, you can also write to sales@thecommunelife.ph with a short description and with photos attached. The team will revert to you in 3 working days. In the event that an exchange cannot be done, Commune reserves the right to offer a substitute. All exchanges will depend on the availability of the item or next available shipment. Should the customer do not comply with this clause, Commune reserves the right to reject any claim of warranty. Please note that once the delivery order has been signed, it is deemed that the order has been received in good order.

Rescheduling of Delivery

Customers may schedule their deliveries 3 working days in advance or a rescheduling fee will be charged. The rescheduling of delivery will also be subject to availability. Do note that the delivery slots will be limited during peak periods or after sales events. Should the delivery be affected due to the following factors, a rescheduling fee of P3,500 will be incurred:

  • No one present to receive the order
  • Refusal of entry due to management restrictions
  • Incorrect delivery address provided
  • Car park height limitations
  • Last minute changes in the delivery schedule

Checking of Order

The customer is responsible to check against the invoice at the point of sale to ensure that there are no discrepancies in the order. Commune will not be obliged to fulfil the order should there be any discrepancies.

Variance in Furniture

  • Leather
    • Every hide is different and because the dyes and finishes penetrate to varying degrees in different parts of the hide, an attractive variable finish is achieved with a level of uniformity as consistent as these processes allow. The natural marks, grain variations and wrinkles, which appear on the each hide will feature in your furniture. Irregularities in the grain, small scars and insect bites and other natural skin marks are not considered as defects.
  • Wooden Furniture
    • Wood species respond to pigment (stain or paint) depending on the species’ inherent characteristics. Factors such as: open-grain, close-grain, grain density, end-grain, machining, sanding, and material type (solid wood vs. veneered woos) will all impact the overall appearance of a pigmented finish. Natural variations or inconsistencies in color (shades), pattern (wood grains) and natural characteristics. The actual product may differ slightly from the display piece.

THESE NATURAL CHARACTERISTICS ARE WHAT MAKE THE FURNITURE WE PRODUCE INDIVIDUALLY UNIQUE.
